As conclusion, A Twist of Marley is almost perfect tribute album. The only flaw perhaps it is that there is no a lot of spaces for Lee Ritenour himself to show off his virtuosity. But, by considering there are more than 20 musicians that are involved in this project, so, such a weakness is tolerable and understandable. In addition, this album is pretty different from Lee’s notable previous releases which are more instrumental minded - typical Captain Fingers' twist

I bought this album a couple of years after it was released and I've listened to it dozens of times since and every time I do I fall in love with it a bit more. Lee Ritenour's labour of love is a tour de force in every sense of the word. He has put together an outstanding array of vocal and instrumental talent and these artistes have demonstrated how endlessly flexible Marley's music is and how it can be re-interpreted in myriad ways without losing, but rather adding to, and highlighting its essence. The album is soulful, sexy, relaxing, comforting and in my view should be listened to with a glass of wine - or shot of rum in hand, as you choose - with your significant other in very close proximity.
